cognomine Asiaticus, fil. Publii Scipionis, Africani frater, quem in Hispaniam et Africam secutus est. Consul An. Urb. Cond. 564. dux belli contra Antiochum delectus, Publium fratrem legatum habuit, Antiochôque prope Sardes, in campis Magnesiae, memorabili praeliô victô, Asiatici elogium meruit. A Catone dein accusatus pecuniae publicae male administratae, condemnatusque in carcerem cum duceretur, a Graccho, Scipionis Africani genero, liberatus est, interim bona eius fisco addicta: innocentiâ postmodum sero emicante.
